Our Background

Bellevue Primary and High school derives it name from a suburb in the vicinity.This is a private combined school and is situated at N0: 34 Hunter street in Yeoville, Johannesburg. It was opened by four Directors, namely Mr L.M Sithole, Mr E Dube, Mr n Ngwenya and Miss C Kolobe in 2012 as a developmental initiative to provide education and training to a particular location that is represented by the disadvantaged community sectors in South Africa, particularly in Yeoville and Berea.A concise diagnostic study, which the directors had embarked upon had revealed that fess charged in other schools were prohibitive, culminating in a number of school dropouts.

Most of the dwellers lacked survival skills and could not get employment. There was a dire need to change the situation and the lives of the community as they needed a decent life, affordable quality education and to participate in the economic development of the country. Our ultimate objective is to equip the marginalized community sectors with requisite skills so as to change their socio-economic status.

Bellevue Primary and High School believes all students deserve an excellent education, especially those in communities. Bellevue Primary and High School has partnered with failing charter schools at risk of closing to help turn them around these schools. Applying Bellevue Primary and High School’s rigorous and structured model to the students at these failing schools and garnering vastly different results is proof that the Bellevue Primary and High School model works and that all students are capable of achieving academic success.

We also empower families to have a voice in their communities.In SEVEN years, Bellevue primary and high school has grown from a handful of students to more than 400 from grade r to 12. When we enrol our students we ensure that all students at all grade levels are prepared for success in unirvesity and a life of active citizenship.

We believe in assessing our scholars using a variety of methods to achieve a broader picture of how well they are learning. These insights help us guide our scholars on the road to varsity and a life of active citizenship.
